What 2nd Grade covers

These worksheets follow the same curriculum map the exercises use, so what your child practises on paper lines up with what they do on screen. This year's modules:

How to use these worksheets

  1. 1

Print one sheet at a time

A single worksheet is about 15–20 minutes of focused work. Printing a stack at once tends to turn practice into a chore — one sheet finished well beats four abandoned.

  2. 2

Let them try before you help

Sit nearby but resist correcting mid-question. Most children self-correct if given a few extra seconds, and that pause is where the learning actually happens.

  3. 3

    Mark it together

Use the answer key on the last page with your child rather than for them. Ask “how did you get that?” on the ones they got right too — the reasoning matters more than the tick.

  4. 4

Come back to what didn't stick

If a question type causes trouble twice, that's the signal to slow down. Each module has an online page with more of the same kind of practice.

A note for parents

Worksheets are best as a short, regular habit rather than a long weekend session — ten minutes a day beats an hour on Sunday. Keep the tone light: if a sheet turns into an argument, stop and come back tomorrow. Children at this age are still forming their idea of whether they are “good at” a subject, and a calm ten minutes protects that far better than a completed page.

Common questions

Are these worksheets really free?
Yes. The printable worksheet on this page opens without an account, an email address or a payment method. Signing up is only needed if you want the full exercise library with progress tracking for your child.
Can I save the worksheet as a PDF?
Yes. Open the worksheet and choose “Save as PDF” as the destination in your browser's print dialog. That works on desktop, and on both iOS and Android.
Do the worksheets come with answers?
Every worksheet includes a full answer key, printed on its own page at the end so your child doesn't see it while working.
Which curriculum do these follow?
The exercises are mapped to standard primary curriculum objectives for each year, grouped into the modules listed above. They are written to be usable alongside most national curricula rather than tied to one country's exact sequence.
