Number Catcher

Number Catcher shows a sum at the top of the screen and drops possible answers down the board. The child moves the basket to catch the right one before it lands. It is the most direct recall practice of the set: no reading, no strategy, just the answer as fast as it can be found.

How to play

Tap or drag to move the basket left and right, or use the arrow keys on a computer. Catching the correct answer scores a point; catching a wrong one costs a life. The round ends after ten problems or when the lives run out.

A tip for grown-ups

If your child is catching answers by elimination rather than by working them out, the numbers are too easy — the game gets more useful when the wrong answers are close to the right one.
